Kirk
I think in some ways your rite, if you had a gippin great body kit and wheels fair enough, but with a stock body supra on a set of black rims, i dont think so! Your seeing the light Plus having black wheels makes the tyres stand out and tbh it looks NAFF.
Bailey.
Your seeing the light Plus having black wheels makes the tyres stand out and tbh it looks NAFF. dont get me wrong, ccw's are going to be a permanent choice in 6 months or so, but dont really want spend around £3k on wheels and tyres just after my single build, and my uks 17's just are not gunna cut it, and will unlikely even stick on a dyno with 255 rears. so these to me are my next best choice. Nic
The choice of available colours is poor, the flat black is probably the most tasteful of the lot. The pink finish is very special! http://cdn.driftworks.com/shop/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/g/t/gtrd_pink_8.jpg

Kirk
Pretty sure there cast ali. The tyres do add alot to the weight of a wheel. These are the ones i have, there 8.5" F and 10" R 17s and they feel lighter than my stock wheels. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs270.snc1/9720_150840322213_584057213_3614540_2507705_n.jpg

jevansio
Wheels are such a personal thing, you gotta do what you think is best, I've had split rims with black centres, split rims all silver and now Advan RZs (as per Nics post), IMHO any good quality/brand wheel with a good offset and well fitted tyres will look mint. What sort of wheel style do you like?

Bailey.
I do like the rota gtr-d tbh, but there are so many, if I could do it safely I would quite happily widen mine, it's just the whole grip thing once I'm single just isn't going to work, I really need atleast a 295 tyre at the rears and at the minute I have 255. I'm quite happy how the car looks now, lowered on uk 17's in matt black, with oem spats and skirts, with a fixed active spoiler, I'm happy looking very suptle, it's just the wheels need to be an inch wider!! In that case just get your wheels widened, you seen Dre on SF with a RSP who has just put widened stock wheels on, I think it looks mint (not as good as his CCW's, but good non-the-less).
