how do you remove birdsmuck stains

I recently bought a BMW 3 series which is in pretty good nick for a 6 year old car but who ever previously owned it must have left it under a tree and there are about 5 patches where birds muck has eaten into the laquer.

is there any way to remove these marks without respraying the bonnet.

I tried a bit of T-cut but this did not remove them completely.

Any help appreciated.

1200 Wet & Dry paper and block the bonnet, it depends how deep the bird poo has eaten into the laquer though and if its through the laquer it'll need re laquering at the least.

If you want a drive up to Earlswood (south B'ham) i'll have a look at it for you, were open till 13:00, after that i'll be in a pub having a beer or 2 :)

Thanks for the offer Dunk. Can't make it today but perhaps next weekend or something would be good if that's convenient for you.

My pleasure Carl, see if you can get some decent pics of the damage to the laquer, my guess is if its been on there for a while it could be through the laquer.

Just give me a call when ever your free and if we can help we will :)
