Benyon
Ok Ive never crashed my supra in almost 3 years of ownership im 25 with very very close to 3yr NCB, I only have 3 points on my licence nothing else. When I first bought the car I was paying 1k for insurance, then it went up to £1300 & now my latest renewal quote is £1600, Which is still cheaper than anyone else but considering ive not crashed or anything in this car I think its a joke and im on the phone to them right now giving them a piece of my mind. With me not being in work I cant afford £1600 so the car's coming of road next month:(
martini
My girlfriend's Fiesta insurance went up by £200... it seems like lost of places are just increasing their quotes
Miguel
Insurance in on the increase across the board, you can thank the crash for cash and compensation culture for that. Claims are on the increase so insurance companies have to pass on the cost to someone.
Benyon
Yeah the same happened to my friend but he's still only paying £700 on his Focus, I know the cost of living is going up ect ect, but how can they spank people more who are already being spanked? I know people on here with the same driving history as me, same age and everything but they live in a different part of england and they are paying around £500 for a year. I wouldn't mind but none of my cars (8 years of owning cars) have ever been broken into or vandalised.

Robzki
ring around, never just renew with the same company. Find the best Quote with someone else. Ring back your insurer and 9/10 the will match it. If they don't just ring back an hr later and speak to someone else. works for me, I very rarely pay more year on year. Usualyy even when you've got them down as low as possible keep pushing, they often send out store vouchers too. I was paying close to £400 2 yrs ago I'm now sub £
Gaz6002
Did you ring around? The renewal quote is always higher.

I was paying close to £400 2 yrs ago I'm now sub £300 I told them I had been quoted 1k from another company and they tried to match it but could not go lower than £1600, Ive always had to shop around for insurance everytime ive had to switch company for whatever reason, so Im good at that. The thing that winds me up is I can get insured on an RX7 for £750 but I couldnt afford the big bills that comes with running them. Did you ring around? The renewal quote is always higher. Yeah but they all come back over 2k, All these quotes are TPFT by the way Yeah, mine was £500 in June and that was NA with 1NCB, 26 years old. Thats super cheap & a good example of what im talking about, if I got quoted that I would pay it all in one easy. It seems like they are out to rip me off personally. Gaz6002
Yeah but they all come back over 2k, All these quotes are TPFT by the way Funnily enough I'm doing a case study for a publication I work for that *initially* suggests that insurance companies are charging more for TPF&T now. All the research done so far confirms it, but I can't say it's 100% the case. Try full comp and see how you get on.

Benyon
1600 TPFT is a joke, as if people are not having tough times as is Exactly:Pling: I sort of understand why some people choose not to get insured, Some people who have full familys and not getting benifits from the government have to try and survive I feel for them. I know more than 3 girls in my area (not friends though) who started having kids soon as they left school & they have never worked (typical council estate mum/scrote), but they have decent houses/gardens, ok they're council houses but they still have somewhere to live and they have nothing to worry about (apart from when the kids get too old the mums dont get benifits). Benyon
I try admiral/elephant & bell first because they have done good insurance on previous cars like a pulsar gtir when I was just 21, No one else would touch me apart from them 3 companys which I got them to compete for the lowest price for me (I got it to £1900 which was very cheap for my age, the type of car, and the area I live.
