jackso11
I think brackets for brake calipers is a bad idea. They just add a weak point to where the brakes attach to the car, which can only mean trouble. Get brakes that fit.
davej705
the brackets were on an aristo previously,i can buy the original brackets for £280 but just seeing if i can them made cheaper than that. I dont think they will be weak if there made properly...
Chris Wilson
Once you move away from stock calipers you are almost certain to need brackets. Just buy the right ones from K sport, £280 is a fair price, to get one offs made without a CNC programme or a pattern to copy, then send for hard anodizing will cost that much, plus involve a lot of messing about, time and potential hassle. davej705
When it comes to brakes I think its a good idea I'm just about to start my single project,8pot 356mm fronts and 6pot 330mm were my first major purchase! I werent trying to cut corners, just thought a fabricator might be able to do it cheaper

davej705
I ordered the brackets direct from k sport in the end, easier and probably cheaper than having them made up
