paulj1
Hi I'm running 235/40/18 on the front and 265/35/18 on the rear but never been able to find out what pressure they should be at any help guys would be greatly appreciated
Dnk
Stock tyre pressures on a UK spec are 36 front and 36 rear, I use the same pressures in my 10 x 19 fronts and 11.5 x 19 rears and am quite happy with tyre wear etc. You'll get lots of varying opinions on this topic and will probably be more confused than before you asked Edited September 23, 2010 by Dnk (see edit history)
paulj1
lol thank you Dunk I've been running them at 32 all round as that's what tyre place did them at I'll go put some more wind in them
adam1983
I put 34 in mine all round on 19s but like yourself i was a bit unsure what i needed. It seems fine though and most people on here have more or less the same im guessing
Geo
34psi running my 18's
AlanM
36 all round on 18s
Dnk
I think most of us wouldn't notice much differance from them being at 34 or 36 psi. It'll show up in tyre wear though but then its usually too late. Same goes for running too much toe and camber ! Luxluc
What tires are you running .. street tires or semi-slick? I had 35 psi in my street tires, and 28psi in my semi-slick now (both values when cold). dr_jekyll
32f 30r . remeber everyone tyre technology has moved on alot from the brigstones they left the factry on 15 years ago. all depends on what compound you tyres are now , try it and see what feels best for you. Terminator
Nics post shows the manual figure, yet my door pillar sticker clearly states 2.5 bar front and rear. Even Toyota are confused.

I think the manual is a US version, which could account for the difference.
Graham S
On my old UK, the tire pressures on the sticker says 36psi all round.

Terminator
So that's why the Americans seem to go faster, more grip.
Jellybean
Might as well resurrect this thread Does anybody know what Steve and Paul Whiffin run in time attack; I am sure they will know the correct pressure after all the laps they have put in! Nic, do you have the Toyota Service Data for the Alignment ; the image got cut off thanks! (maybe make it a sticky)
Dnk
36 PSI Hot all round so approx 33/34 from cold for rd use Track pressures will be a little differant as they will gain more pressure due to the tyres and brakes working much harder than on the rd

Thats great but my car is a Toyota Supra! From what I can see my rears are wearing evenly, my fronts however are not bad for 5 years but I am getting the tracking checked

Jellybean
Im 34 front and rear from cold. Thanks, I think I will go with 34, my friend is running 32 in his R33 Skyline so based on that I reckon 30 is far too low for a Supra
