Matt H
We went to watch The Other Guys at the cinema last night. It was either that or Resident Evil Afterlife. I wasn't expecting that much and I walked in thinking that perhaps I'd seen all the funny bits in the trailer; but jesus it was funny. I've not laughed so much at a film in a looooong time - years infact. Highly recommend it if you're up for a laugh a minute comedy. The only bad thing... I would have loved a bit more S.Jackson and the Rock, but the story line wouldn't have existed if there was. Cracking 8.7/10 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1386588/

Guest BenLewisMav
Had the same dilemma the other night when I went to the cinema! Ended up seeing Resident Evil 3D as one of the group had already seen the Other Guys. It was pretty good overall, does exactly what it say on the tin. The 3D was good, bit drawn out in some places, kind of just to show 'look what we can do!', still impressive though. The storyline was a bit hard to follow unless you're a hardcore fan of the series, you can understand whats happening, just not WHY. The most important bit of a Res. Evil film was the action, and that was pretty damn good. Some interesting ideas and well choreographed.. A bit slower moving than the previous film, but well worth a watch and definately worth seeing in 3D at the cinema 7/

Matt H
Now that looks like a awesome film, whats the other movie coming out with the Rock in looks good too It really was a great film (The Town). It has a great story line, great acting (bar Afleck's accent), suspense, action and moral + the a couple of instances of humour. Are you refering to 'Faster'? It doesn't look great tbh, but I do love films with the rock in - have you seen welcome to the jungle? He's the main actor in that and it's brilliant. I've just been on IMDb and it seems that Welcome to the Jungle might also be know as 'the rundown'. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327850/ awesome huh Invention of lying i thought it sucked hairy balls to be honest. Really into the kinda you did me wrong now gotta kill ya type films any one seen death sentence with Kevin Bacon awesome film Invention of lying was 'ok' in my book. It wasn't amazing but not terrible. I don't think I've seen that one Wayne. If you're into that kind genre, then the best film of its type has got to be 'Man on Fire'. Have you seen it? It sits in the top films of all time for me: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0328107/ Oh and while you're working hard, this film is cracking too. I think you may like it, I loved it! Same(ish) kind of genre. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0395584/

I loved John Goodman's character and the twist with Bacon buying the guns off him and one of the gang members being his son! I do think the film started off stronger than it ended though. Matt H
Love that you go to the cinema every Wednesday. Good work Matthew Thank you With Orange Wednesday it's such a cheap night out and films are always better when watched on the big screen. I go to a cinema that's usually quiet unless there's just been a massive release. I go with a lad that's also a huge fan of the flicks and we have the same taste so it's always a laugh and we can talk about the movies after in the bar over a peroni or two. Unfortunately the cinemas near me are always packed out on Wednesdays so I tend to find other times to go like Saturday during the day or a-another random night. It's always great going with someone that's a big film fan - the best part of it is discussing it afterwards.
