had my operation today to straighten my toes out.got up hospital at 7am and just got home.Had the toe removed and the end joint cut away and the bones pinned back together, then they had to cut the tenden and lengthen it.

had an opium based pain killer before i came home so there is no pain at the moment. The bummer part is i now have a pin poking out and have to go back in 2 weeks time to have it removed, this means no driving or doing much at all.If anybody knows me they will know i dont handle sitting around very well and like to be busy.:(

Ouch! At least you've made a step forward to getting it sorted, err sorry, couldnt resist :D

I know what you mean about sitting around doing nothing, i'm terrible at it for more than 5 mins.

hopefully ill be able to hobble out side in a couple days to tinker with the car.girlfriend said good job we aint got married as we be getting a divorce soon as i will be doing her head in soon.

Why'd you get it done dare I ask?

I have a fecked toe as well but it doesn't bother me in the slightest

the toe was rubbing on the big toe and the first joint rubs on shoes ect.plus it was getting tight to move and constantly felt as if it was under strain.so now i should be able to walk further again with the dogs on the moors ect as it shouldnt be rubbing constantly.may even start jogging and be able to shift some weight.
