shadowninja
or save thousands by learning to have a sensitive right foot. thats all the traction control I need.
Terminator
Yep you can't beat a gentle right foot, but RL does help and give you more protection from those unexpected moments, when even a lightening right foot can't save you. In the current conditions I drive very carefully anyway, Huge power RWD cars and poor grip don’t mix I have learned that for years of experience. But even when driving carefully the RL system has activated all be it at a low level of injector cut, which gives instant reduction of slip and almost as instant return of grip. It is just too easy to reach the limits of rotation grip in these condition, the wider the tires the worse it gets. I was coming back to work this morning at about 10.30 doing 60 and pulled out to over take, gently put my foot down and felt the system kick in at a mid level of injector cut. With out RL that would have equalled quite a big 3rd gear spin. I really was not going for it, I must have caught a greasy patch and the wheels started to go , but instead of the power too the Already Spinning wheels being increased, I felt the familiar mild jerk though the car as grip was reinstated and the car picked up. Just ask anyone who has lost the back end and damaged the car if they think RL is a good idea. All versions of RLTC are based around the same package, you just get more control and greater logging nand monitoring features by spending more money but no greater protection IMHO. Personally I would not go for the base system as you don't get any in car adjustment, which is very useful, especially at this time of year. But in the summer you may get away with just one setting. If you go for it, let me know and I can sort you out with the internal data that will match the system to you car. You just need access to a lap top to install the file. Or you could pop down and I will do it for you.
