Scott
Not watched it but I heard all about it. Spoiler Spoiler SPOILER!!!! You have been warned... Now that he is finally flying and getting ready to have his way with Lois it might actually be time to get back into it. Not sure whether to start from the beginning and work my way through 200 episodes, or try and track back to where I left off. The trouble with the latter option is that I have been drifting in and out of focus while watching the last couple of seasons, due to a lack of interest, so not sure if it would really warrant a do-over lol. He's not actually flown, he hovered at the end of the show while kissing lois. I quess it's the thing that finally allows him to gain his flight though (kinda like a happy thought). I'd love it if they started episode 5 with 'the blur' making a flying 'save'.

I wouldnt bother mate, ive watched every episode of Smallville and the last cpl of seasons have been crap frankly. They brought in Doomsday which should have been awsome but it was more like an episode of neighbours with the odd 10 secs of fighting. Crap IMO. Episode 4 was one of the best episodes in a LONNNNG time, thoroughly enjoyed it and a good ending. I'm hoping this season is going to finish on a good ending. Does anyone know who the "Evil" is yet? I'm pretty sure i know who it is but i dont want to spoil it

Matt H
Epic, absolutely Epic. What a brilliant ending to a brilliant series. The ending (last 10 mins?) was the perfect way to finish the show off. Feels like an old friend has died though, knowing that 10 years ago I started watching it and now it's all over

jackso11
It was a good end but I didn't like the bit where it played loads of clips of past shows and he said 'these were all my trials' and Jor-el said he was ready, seemed to go on for ages. Shame its all finished though. What is the next series....Metropolis? JLA? Superman? I hope its JLA. More than likely though they won't do anything. I thought that was a great re-cap of some of the best moments from Smallville's past. Quite clever how they got it in there too.
jackso11
it just went on and on with really cheezy rubbish music. If it was shorter I thought it would have been better. All in all I thought it was good though. Maybe a bit more suited footage would have been good.

Scott
Personally I thought the ending was garbage. Loads of loose ends and the final trial?? WTF?? Everything leading up to that trial had Clark almost dead in each episode... his final trial... give a the dark planet a wee shove... job done. 7 years for them to get married, and now they are doing it in secret with everyone apparently forgetting about them knowing each other?? Miss Lane? WTF. I understand why they did it (to relate to the start of Superman 1), but the background and context of smallville vs Superman is completely different so it just makes no sense. It shows how badly the show went downhill given that some people think season 10 was the best season. Not a hope in hell it was even close to season 1 on first viewing, or the following few seasons minus the green rock in every other episode, but that was such a long time ago that people can only remember the dross of the last 4 or 5 seasons. It was just more of the same old cliche filled drivvel. The very very end of the episode was excellent, almost brought a tear to my eye when he was on the roof changing to superman with the music in the background. It's good to have closure but the time for the end had well and turely passed IMO.

Matt H
The 'bomb in the elevator' - it's a foggy memory, but was that the first incident that superman attended in the first film with Chris Reeves?
Scott
The 'bomb in the elevator' - it's a foggy memory, but was that the first incident that superman attended in the first film with Chris Reeves? I'm a little foggy too but.... It was in Paris, the Eiffel Tower IIRC. I can't remember if it was a bomb or just a kidnapping, but there were lots of hostages on the top of the tower. I think there were charges on the lines as I remember Lois falling in the elevator. Not a lot in common to be honest.
