Matt H
The last season of Smallville - Premieres on the 24th on Sep '10 The UK usually gets a long wait until it hits a channel over here, but the torrents usually become available within hours. I'm sooo excited! Link to the teaser trailers: http://www.ksitetv.com/category/smallville/ From the last time I posted a thread back during season 8, I know there's a few fans on here - including Tannhauser Even though I'm gutted Smallville will be over after this season, it's the right time to end it and they can go out on a bang - sniff, 10 years
Geo
been waiting for this for ages. Last Episode im sure you'l see him fly
Matt H
been waiting for this for ages. Last Episode im sure you'l see him fly I think flying might be the 'last' power he learns. If you remember back to all the other powers, he learnt them over an eposide. I reckon we'll get that this season, and the costume
Tannhauser
From the last time I posted a thread back during season 8, I know there's a few fans on here - including Tannhauser Shhhhhh... I haven't seen it for a couple of years. One of those weird shows that on paper ought to be on my 'switch over immediately' list, yet somehow grabbed me. Scott
The flying thing really annoyed me. In the first season he was hovering above his bed during his sleep yet he still can't do it. He doesn't even hover in his sleep anymore. Clearly stating the obvious but him flying is the last hook they have on the viewers. I lost interest after 7 years of it, I blurred through season 8 while messing around on my laptop and got a few episodes into season 9 before getting extremely bored. One of my friends really enjoys it, I said to him a year ago to give me a shout when he flys and I might pay attention again. The show has been done to the death and stretched so thin it's completely transparent.... and that's saying something considering how weak it started off lol. Season 7 was where I got a little frustated with how the show was developing. But new writers and new producers in at season 9 brought a different, more mature approach. The second half of season 9 was brilliant and it felt like I was back watching episodes from the early seasons - I fell back in love with it. With season 10 being the final season, it will be the point where Clark turns into Superman. It will be worth wathing again because it will be like a different show. and that's saying something considering how weak it started off lol. It hardly started off weak, that's a ridiculous statement - 10 seasons later confirms its strength as a show, but it does need to end now. Lee P
I've been into this since the begining, I'm looking forward to the last season but don't won't want to wait ages to watch it so will down loading it. I think one of the frustrating things is the glasses, on one episode he tells Louis that he is short sighted and puts the glasses on then you never see them again. strange. He will deffinatly fly and have the suit in this season, the teaser trailer shows his reflection in the daily plant globe as he flys up past it. http://www.scificool.com/smallville-season-10-teaser-trailer/

I don't know how they will work it in. Will they want to? The whole glasses disquise is hardly fitting with Smallvilles 'not to far fetched' approach. I think the episode you refer to was when he lost his sight and developed his super hearing?
Scott
It hardly started off weak, that's a ridiculous statement - 10 seasons later confirms its strength as a show, but it does need to end now. You're kidding surely? It is/was a fun and entertaining show but it's hardly indepth. Season 1: Bad guy infected by kryptonite, Clark falls victim to Kryptonite, one of his friends has to save him from the brink of death. He manages to come back just in time to save everyone and the bad guy gets killed or put away. Season 2: Bad guy infected by kryptonite, Clark falls victim to Kryptonite, one of his friends has to save him from the brink of death. He manages to come back just in time to save everyone and the bad guy gets killed or put away. In addition friends get in serious trouble after finding out his secret. Season 3: Bad guy infected by kryptonite, Clark falls victim to Kryptonite, one of his friends has to save him from the brink of death. He manages to come back just in time to save everyone and the bad guy gets killed or put away. In addition friends get in serious trouble after finding out his secret. Eventually gets it on with Lana, Chloe is left in the dark. Now, I know that what I have posted isn't an accurate timeline but it shows the depth of the show well enough. Add in a couple of running plots; such as his cousin, the other kryptonians, the guy from buffy etc and you're left with beverly hills 90210 with superpowers. How many years did/have Neighbours, Home & Away and all the other dross that's been going on forever last? 10 years is a drop in the ocean and has absolutely no bearing on how strong the plot of a show is. Lee P
No not that one, Second clip on this video show it, was the end if one of the episodes in season 9. Was a perfect way to introduce him wearing glasses but then he never did. Yes, the glasses is going to be a hard element to add as he's spent 3 seasons working in the Daily Planet without them. supra-ireland
I like the earlier seasons. I think it went downhill when they started introducing all the other aliens, well apart from the blonde cousin of course.

Matt H
I watched the 200th episode of Smallville last night (episode 4 of season 10) entitled homecoming. It was one of the best, if not the best episode of the entire show. What a way to celebrate 200 episodes of the show. It was the show fans have been waiting for since season 1 - episode 1. I'm not afraid to say it, but I welled up when Clark and Lois were in the barn at the end of the show. Epic. Btw, this is not an episode that anyone can just watch and enjoy. It really does need the 10 seasons and 200 episodes build up to make it what it was for me
