Gaz6002
Hi all, I'm doing a bit of research on company car drivers, and I'd like to know about your personal experiences. If you can answer any or all of the following questions I'd appreciate it very much. Also, if you can tell me anything I don't know about company cars I may even ask you to be involved in a case study for one of the publications I work for. So: Are there any driving courses you can go on to improve the car you are allowed or to reduce your costs? What deals are you offered with regards to company cars? Do you have any complaints about the system you company uses? Are there restrictions on the manufacturers you can use? If so, what are they? Do you have the opportunity to 'top up' your company car allowance in order to get a better car? Have you had to down-size your company car since the economic down-turn? I don't need to know about the company you work for, just what options you're given regarding your personal transportation... Thanking you
Havard
Both Mrs H and I both have company cars. Her company has a monthly allowable budget and the employee can pay extra towards a higher spec. I think if they leave the company they have to pay the outstanding payment on the vehicle. I now work for a small company, I could have had anything at all as a car (make, spec etc) as long as it was reasonable. I drive an Audi A4 S-line 2.0 Tdi. I pay the tax on the car but pay for my personal mileage My old company was much larger and you had to choose from list of devastatingly avarage cars....base model Audi A3, Mazda 6, etc. You were not allowed to contribute at all. I had an Audi A3 which was way too small for a reps job, carrying boxes etc. They were very strict and pretty much upset all the staff with their penny pinching. Hope this helps H. Do you have to build a case for a car or is it a discression thing? Could you ask for an RS4 for instance?
