Ian W
So I arrived in Edinburgh last night for Janes birthday. Awoke at 7, went and checked the teg....still in one piece. Phew. Got up again at ten to find this: Rage would be an understatement. Called the police, accused an innocent bystander (before apologizing) and took some pics. Front bumper is ripped off (snapped at the drivers wheel arch) and the metal bar behind looks fucked. Question is, Wtf do I do now?! Havard
Find a pub..... That is my worst nightmare, there must be damage to the other vehicle but your chances of finding said vehicle are minimal. H.
Brett 1
Just gotta pay up i think mate, unless you want to go through your insurance. My car got vandalised, i told the police who did it, they found his fingerprint on my car and shoe print, but that wasnt enough evidence apparently. I had to pay £1050 to get it all sorted as i didnt want to lose my NCB
Robzki
Had someone do something similar to my old celica, bent the passenger side wing etc so badly it was almost touching the inner wing. Happened in argos or tescos carpark on christmas eve. very busy, And unfortunately the missus didn't see it as she approached the car from the drivers side, got in and drove off. Makes my friggin blood boil. Check for cctv etc, but even that may not help as the police seem to have better things to do, like harrass me for example. monsween
Unfortunately all you can do is bite the bullet unless there was CCTV around, businesses, car parks, etc etc
Havard
I still think that finding a pub should be your first priority.... H.
Rob_Mitchell
ahh man this is not even funny, as mentioned above this is also my worst nightmare. i always garage the supra and if i knew i was going out and had to leave it, i would just take the van instead or the powerful ka. some people have no respect, even if i had hit someone elses car i would leave a note with contact detais as i couldnt live with that on my mind. Scott
Can't see the pics but I can imagine how you are feeling. Your insurance will cover you but you will lose a couple of years no claims depending on the cost. Its either that or stump up the poney and go about it yourself. Spike3.0
Gutted for you mate, Had the same thing happen to me, cost me a mint. I knew who done it and even approached them but nothing I could do, typically happend at a time when money was majorly tight.
Ian W
You're right, money is tighter than ever right now. The bumper fixing is snapped at the arch (which is also bent). Metal fixing / crash bar behind is also badly damaged. On way to police station now, there is cctv at the end of the road but who knows if anything was seen. Scott
Did you re-host the pics Ian or has my work decided to let me have a peek? Doesn't look too bad but anything less than mint is a kick in the nuts regardless. We all make mistakes, having the decency to own up to them is rare nowadays. AlanM
Gutted for you mate, chances of finding who did that (and proving it) are slim

ManwithSupra
I have had this happen to my Supra a couple of times so i feel your pain. I hate to mention this but one of the times someone hit my Supra in a car park and didnt leave their details, I had CCTV footage of it happening (as there was a camera pointed directly at my car) but when i went to the police to report it i got a letter a few days later saying that it didnt meet their criteria and said that was the end of it. I tried getting the footage off the company who owned the camera so i can send it to my insurance company only to be told that the police can only request it. Cost me over a grands worth of damage!! ... and the person who did it got away with it, writing this even now has made me angry once again for the injustice, dont hold your breath when it comes to the police, unless it makes them money then they are not intrested. Can bet that if the person was speeding that hit my car they would of had them.
neo2810
That sucks... I feel for you... I returned to my Celica (when I had one) after work one evening to find my rear fender caved in. I started to foam at the mouth before noticing a police notice on my windshield. The chap who had hit me reported the incident to the police and stuck around till they arrived to take a statement. His insurance covered everything. It just goes to show, there are still decent folk out there...

Josh
Check cameras and if you see them again get some vigilante justice! Police won't help.
marcAB10
I had a hit and run on my rear quarter one week after getting a ding sorted at the bodyshop, then a smashed Windscreen and dented bonnet a few weeks after.. So I really can understand the absolute rage this kind of thing fills you with.. I went to the police for footage and never heard a thing back.. So I'm also going to have to stump up the cash. Sorry to see it's happened to you too, there are some absolute fuckers out there.
