Chris Wilson
http://www.kirkhammotorsports.com/book_aoe/ Personally I don't get this, but one has to admire his tenacity and his skill, if you like billet and bling, fill your boots.... Snooze
Ellison is literally the best paid company exec of the last decade. A quick search turns up the number $1.84bn as his total pay for the last 10 years!

tbourner
That is awesome, not sure why I find machined billet things so attractive though, am I a bit odd? The wife would say yes!
Digsy
Crazy. No idea why people go so bonkers over billet stuff. At the end of the day its just a way of making something than would be better off cast or forged without having to lay down any tooling. Its just as easy to make a cock of the design even if its hewn from a solid block. Still, it looks nice. Shame he doesn't say what grade aluminium he's used. Anyway: Blingy exercise in spending money over proper engineering billet chassis: 4500lbf.degrees. Lotus Elise extruded / folded aluminium / steel subframe combo: >7000lbf/degree Does he mention anything about final mass? The inch-thick pedal box lid could have been 7% lighter and 66% thinner if it were made from steel...
