Class One
Thought i'd tart up my dirty old j spec calipers as I can't afford the UK Spec brakes at the mo. Excuse the pic quality taken with my mobile.
Bobbeh
Good job! Now get some real brakes
Jake
Ah bless, they're so cute. Just like real brakes but smaller. (Just kidding Doug. I've still got J-spec brakes on my RZS)
adi2009
Nice work!!! But are the UK spec brakes really that much better???

Lazarus
I was one of the people who used to say "why upgrade, my j-specs work fine", then I upgraded to the UK's because I had warped the rear discs (again) and if I was gonna spend the money anyway I might as well. HOLY COW!!! The're as different as chalk and cheese, I've never had brake fade on the road since fitting the UK's and it just feels better when braking hard, much more confidence. I changed to braided hoses at the same time so some of it might be down to that. I'm definately a Leopard thats changed its spots.
Class One
It is a performance mod I will be fitting, just can't afford it at the mo.
Supragal
They look good (although you realise you've painted them RED, right?)
Guest El Cid
Looks good! What paint did you use? Something for brakes specifically, or an engine hi-temp paint?
Class One
Hammerite smooth. And Rosie, Yes I know they're red Lol. It was a choice between that or gold.
Bobbeh
Did you take them off, or spray them in situ?
Class One
Left them on and used a good old fashioned brush. Two coats and a nice smooth finish. Hammerite smooth has come along way from the olden days! lol Took about 2 1/2 hrs last night.

cornimac
Looks good mate... totally understand the need to tart up those J-specs. Never understood why a detail oriented nation like that could fit something that looks so naff and functions "less optimally" too (is there such a word).. Anyway, good job. I'll be painting mine too ahead of a UK upgrade. I might paint mine yellow though. Could look good against my bronze wheels and silver paintjob. What say you Rosie?
