boost controller + wastegate vsv plumbing

Hi all

I have fitted a greddy profec boost controller following the help given in this thread

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=228778

A couple of quick questions:

1: Does this look about right?

2: I am planning to cap off my old wastegate vsv as per the instructions, but would there be a downside to leaving it all connected even to the actuator? The reason for my thinking is that if the boost controller is switched off I thought that the boost would go back to stock, but I can't understand how it can if the vsv is completely disconnected. Surely if the vsv is still connected then that will take over the job of the 'redundant' boost controller solenoid when switched off.

I may be completely misguided. Hopefully you know what I mean......

Thanks for any help

Rob

It is my understanding that the stock VSC's are not able to hold boost down to stock when the exhaust system is more free flowing, hence the need for a restrictor ring to create enough back pressure to give to cap the boost at a desired maximum. As boost controller can not lower boost, they are pretty redundant with stock twins a free flowing exhaust and a restrictor ring.
