Porky1978
I have the exact same car (1.9TDI) Mine is the PD130 version in the exact same colour. It is a lovely car to drive and VERY good on juice. Even though its done 113,000 miles it still feels tight, pulls extremely well in any gear. I filled the tank last week and at 114.9p per litre it cost me 66 quid. I have so far done 300 miles and the trip computer says i still have 315 to go Well worth it at that price mate, just make sure there are no lights on the dash that shouldnt be on. If you see the yellow triangle on the left hand side of the speedo dial then the traction control is either turned off (switch marked EPS i think) or you have an ABS problem and could cost a bit to put right. Also check the drive shafts as depending which version of the engine is in the car its an 'inline' 4 with the drive shafts coming out of the sides of the gearbox and they are prone to wear and give off a good old knocking sound when turning the car. Hope this helps mate. Oh, where is the garage in Manchester?? I dont live too far away and could meet you there if i am free. Alex.

Thats a huge help, does look a lovely car and would be perfect for what I want, reliable and excellent fuel economy, if I can get over 600 miles from a full tank il be wank*** all the way to the bank lmao. The garage is called north west car group postcod M26 2RZ, im hoping to hopefully go view around 12 with the intention to buy if everything is as it seems with it and if you are able to meet me there and take a look for a second opinion that would definately ease my mind on the purchase:)
edge
Through doing some research on audi's and speaking to a few people the PD engine is the one to go for as the newer 2.0tdi can have issues. I'm not sure what they do in the VW range but i got a lift home in a skoda tdi auto diesel taxi last night and it was a nice ride. The auto box seemed quite smooth aswel. foggy147
Any news on this fella?? Woke up to this morning to a complete change of heart, ended up buying a 1.6 corolla, couldnt not buy it, its immaculate, only 40k miles, 7 stamps in book fsh, taxd motd etc, not the most exciting car to look at but its been extremely well looked after and will save me a small fortune, oh and its an auto too and does drive extremely well was quite suprised really
