Morpheus
How about training videos/dvds? Just give it half the stick input that you think you need and you'll probably be right, as there's a delay. Just got to be extremely gentle and put training skids on, i.e. crossed dowels with golf practice balls on the ends so that it can't tip over while taking off and landing. One at the front too, if you can. Master hopping about the floor as already mentioned, then pirouettes and tail-in circles etc. low level to get the hang of wind directional effects etc. I can highly recommend these vids, though in common with others here, I have yet to fly my Kalt Cyclone (.50 size) heli and I bought it in 1990! Still managed to smash up the canopy though, knocking it off of the microwave! https://shop.traplet.com/product.aspx?c=

Westcoaster
Paint it up like a WWII Japanese Imperial Navy aircraft from 1945. Kamikaze flight were usually one way too!
Aero-M
just been looking them up soooo tempted bit of a bugger if i crash that straight away though:( The beauty of Align helicopters is parts are a lot cheaper than others and also come in pairs, Most of the hard work is in setting up a heli, once setup hovering will be far easier. There is also a clone of the t rex called the Flasher 500, all the parts are interchangable with Align parts. Here is one ready to fly, Don't know the transmitter though but a fair bit cheaper than the Align trex: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/t-rex-500-flasher-500-ESP-RTF-MINT-CONDITION-/250699530217?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item3a5edb3fe9 If you aren't planning on having lessons and want to learn yourself then the flight sims would be very helpful. If not there is a unit called helicommand which basically if you get in trouble and let go of the sticks it will automatically put the helicopter into a stable hover. I'm a bit far from you but if you wanted a helicopter like the t rex, and wanted it setup properly I would do it for you for free, we would have to package it very well and post it though.
