VIDEO HERE: (could a mod kindly imbed please) Had a tip off it was heading back this evening and managed to get some pics and video. The pilots had just returned from Afghanistan and stopped off for the night in the railway yard. Its still here now but under armed guard. Was lucky enough to be given a tour and was kindly shown the cockpit. Pure AWESOME!!! As you can imagine - very impressed. maximum respect for the RAF boys that fly these things. SupraStar 3000
Can't it fly at night then? Yes, but the helicopter is going to be used tomorrow in a special war weekend at the railway station. Departs sunday afternoon. Help the heros or something. More vehicles arrive tomorrow, so get ready for the "look at the size of my cannon" thread.
Lbm
Ed, I'm loving the slow-mo work going on there. And where's JB's special request got to? See Ed's filming here... ovdgmlCGbwo
SupraStar 3000
for any aviation buffs,.. this helicopter has only been in the UK a few days and still has the chaff and flare boxes fitted to the side. I'm going back tonight with a 12v car battery to set those bad boys off. Should be pretty spectacular. LOL

creative
they certainly are impressive machines! My old man used to run a pub that backed onto RAF Leeming. On the gear up to the gulf war MkII, these were in and out of Leeming all the time.
