TT Lowering springs on an NA

I'm considering fitting a set of TT Eibach Lowering spring on my NA, I would like to know if any other NA owners have done this and if so, have you found this to be detrimental to the handling/ride quality?

 

I know the springs will fit, but as TT springs have different spring rates, I need to know if this makes a noticeable difference (for better or worse) to the ride quality before going ahead.

This is a strange one, i would guess that the TT would be a larger engine, therefore the springs would make it sit higher than it would in a TT. Not sure what would happen to the ride.
