help with handicapped wasp

there's this wasp on my window-ledge which was on its back making the occasional 'zip' noise. I flipped him back over with a peice of paper and noticed he seems to have a wing missing.

I left him sat there 'cause I don't know what to do and I'm also very slightly arachnaphobic (ok, it's not a spider but still..).

The problem is that 'cause he's got a wing missing, he keeps trying to fly off and every time he does it he just ends up doing a sideways-roll and ending up on his back.

What should I do? It's very sunny on my window-ledge and I think the poor sucker must be burning up and dehydrating. Should I go and drop him in the grass somewhere and let him die naturally without being on my conscience?

thanks you fellow mkivsupra.net members.

this is the funniest thing i have read all day!

my favourite bit was 'let it walk round and see if it can find something'

'what, its wing?'

closely followed by a mental video generated by the thought of a one winged wasp tryin to fly, and rollin over, in slomo, with a funny face on the wasp!!

yeah I was aware of a slightly comic element too. I considered getting out the webcam but thought better of it ;)
