Bomex Bumper

Hello,

I've recently put on a new bomex front bumper but am worried it hasn't got a crash bar... I know alot of people don't bother with crash bar after putting a new front end on, but I really want one there just incase. It's better to be safe than sorry!

Has anyone got any advice or know of anyway to modify a crash bar to fit or the bumper to accommodate a bar.

Thanks,

Dan

I had a crash bar custom made to fit a bomex, it was too much hassle modifying the standard one! I'm putting my bomex back on in the next month or so (had it repaired) so I will probably be able to take some pics and get dimensions if that's any help!?!? Otherwise you could always pop up and check it out yourself lol

the front "crash bar" is not a life saving device you only have to look at its light weight aluminium construction to realise this, it is designed for low speed bumps to crumple and protect the chassis legs and surrounding bits, it possibly also braces the chassis legs as well. Have a look at the rear crash bar to see the difference, this is a life saving device and is built like a s**t house, it is designed to protect the fuel tank in the event of a rear end impact
