Guest Fluke
Hi everyone. I've had a Mazda MX5 for the past 6 years and have done loads to it over the years. I know there not to everyones taste, but here's a few pictures anyway. http://premium1.uploadit.org/yan816//side1-[Desktop-Resolution].JPG http://premium1.uploadit.org/yan816//Hardtop.JPG http://premium1.uploadit.org/yan816//back-[Desktop-Resolution].JPG http://premium1.uploadit.org/yan816//steering-wheel-2-[].JPG http://premium1.uploadit.org/yan816//Front.jpg Its a 1997 1.8 fitted with an emange blue that currently running my supercharger with 150mm crank overlay and air/water intercooler. I have larger injectors, uprated pump O2 clamp and an Innovate LC-1 kit. After 5 years of ownership, I've now had enough of my five and am looking at getting rid of it for a TT Supra. Is there any specific problem that Supra's suffer from that I need to keep an eye out for? Are there any members close to Stafford that would be willing to let me take a look at their car, as I've not had the chance to look at one properly.[OOPS][/OOPS]

James
Hey and welcome! There are a couple of little things that happen to the Supra over time, but they are easily sorted/avoided. Generally they are solid though
Guest Fluke
Thanks for the replies. They are fantastic little cars, and I'm gonna miss it when it goes. I fitted the charger myself and have had fun with it, but its time for a change. I'm 45 years old and have fancied a Supra for some time, although I'm a little weary of having an Auto, as I've only ever had a manual. The car will be my daily driver so needs to be reliable. I know there not cheap to run, but my five is only doing about 25 to the gallon due to the addictive supercharger whine.

DMY23
You shouldn't be put of by the auto, they're one of the best auto box's ever, very quick kickdown and doesn't detract from the performance of the supra. You'll struggle to beat 25 mpg even in an n/a, so isn't gonna be any better than your mx-5 in that respect. Anyway nice looking car and welcome. imi
Unlike other cars the mk4 doesn't have any particular issues to mention as such, just be aware that they are now pushing their age and like any it her car it will need attention.
