ADD
Ive been having an intermittent missfire when he car has been running for a while (30+ mins) so once again checked all coil packs for cracks, clips for correct connection and closure of connectors, then snipped back the black cover that goes round the 2 wires that goes to the coil pack (coil pack 2) itself and found 1 or the 2 wires had brown scortch marks around it. I started the car and touched the wire and the missfire started. Question is what should i do with 3mm section of wire? i was gonna cut it out and put a through crimp on it and tape it up. Would this be ok to do or should i solde rit together? thanks for any help AD
Terminator
Well done for fault finding that misfire. Always preferable to solder and heat shrink when ever possible.
Chris Wilson
You can buy a coil wire repair section in 160 mm length with a pre crimped new terminal on it from Toyota. 82998-12440 is the part number for ONE wire.
