madwoody1
what diff type is this and is it standard toyota or trd?
mwilkinson
Looks like an open diff to me. If it was a torsen there would be additional helical gears.
Nic
It's not a TRD LSD

listy
In all honesty I have no idea. Seem to recall LSDs going for anywhere between £200-£300.
James
There are two standard Toyota TorSen diffs - the A01B and the A02B. Both have 8" casing size. The A01B is a 4.083:1 ratio and was commonly found in (but not limited to) the pre-facelift SZ-R non turbo model. The A02B is a 3.769:1 which was most commonly found in the TT Auto. The prop flanges are different on the 2 of these as well. The A02B flange is larger. They have different monetary values too. The A02B seems to go for slightly less I have found. Have a search on here using the diff codes above once you determine which model it is and you could come up with a price from there Edited February 17, 2013 by James (see edit history)

James
My SZ-R's got a A02B... It may only have been the pre-facelift that was the A01B in that case Being a facelift SZ-R, I'm presuming - if manual - yours is 6 speed rather than on the W58? Though in '96 with all of the weird crossover things happening to the Supra spec, that isn't a certainty either
Benjy
It's a V161 in mine. Mine's a 96/97 SZ-R. Black roof lining/carpet etc with the A02B diff. Not sure what other goodies it's got from the factory
