barneybrendan
i would say diesel of some sort and get the most power out of it as possible.that would be something different and there are some powerfull diesels around now.
Tricky-Ricky
LS1 turboed all day long, unless you can get hold of one of the American high performance eco diesels cheap, 700ftlb should do the job;)
Bailey.
Cummins diesel or ford powerstroke??
dude
Don't forget the weight over the front, the LS1 will be best for handling by far.

Shane
Got to be diesel Dude. If you could get the gearing right, a straight 6 from an early Nissan patrol would be a good candidate. Bags and bags of torque, indestructable pump and injectors runs on absolutely anything. Well almost, wont run on dog piss.

But some of em go like stink. The LS1 is top of my list at the moment, totally stock body, nice seats;) and auto 2 small turbos with our project mods so it runs around 1000 hp in road trim.
