jevansio
Does anyone think it is possible (and more importantly safe) if a side impact bar were to be welded to the shell of the car which came from behind the seat down to the ankle area? I would like to go with the carbon/fg doors but don't want a full cage which would negate the weight savings I am after
JamieP
Sounds like you are keeping the supra:cool: Myself, id not bother with the bar, id fit the carbon doors and not worry about the side impact, i am rather silly though. Nur motorsport does carbon doors and fibreglass ones, Noel has them on his.

Pretty much agree with JP, if you had a stock seat that welded in bar would prob do far more harm than good when you slide out of your seat and your hip smashes into it. I got Recaro Profi seat but I guess the same still applies, that bar could still do damage as the seat is only fibreglass
