from what i read i see that the na vvti 2jz engine has a smaller con rod compared to the tt or na supra. I am building a new na engine, non vvti. And if there is an option for a lighter rod that i can pick up cheaply then i would be rather interested.

i know the stock 2j rods are around 407g but i want to know what the smaller ones weigh and what a rough hp limit of them

i have searched through http://www.supraforums.com, http://www.my.is, http://www.supraforums.com.au

any help would be greatly appreciated. and if anyone has a set they want to sell send me a pm

I doubt very much the VVTI has smaller rods dude. And unless you could get a used set they are prob more than some new aftermarket ones.

the rods in a vvti is300 2j are smaller than the supra 2j rods. and i am after a set of second hand ones.

yes aftermarket rods are lighter and redily available but they arnt toyota rods.... i want a full toyota build.... sounds crazy but it will be something special and its still na so hp capability should be alright.
