RedM
Oh, that's me assuming that tbd 16% non religious people would have a similar view to yours which I can categorically say is not the case. Most people do have the capacity to respect other people. Imi Factually accurate as always, Imi.
nevins
If this does happen, he will cause another war. If that happens where are troops are supposed to be getting the hell out of there, they can forget about it. Once again they will get our country in the shit again. RedM
If this does happen, he will cause another war. Hey if we're going to over react then predict something better. How about he'll make Hell appear on Earth and we'll be killed by hordes of Cyberdemons?
Supra-Brett
Personally im not religious (far too scientific) and think all religion is just blind following of some books which were written well before adequate and believable forms of record keeping (and proof) ever came along (im not a million miles away from John McCriricks explaination on Big Brother - that was classic) Lets face it people wernt all that clever 2000 years ago were they, so if anyone did have a bit of cleverness about them in those days it would have been pretty easy to persuade people whatever you wanted them to believe - either that or you would be burnt at the stake as a witch, as they were all so thick . Anyway, if someone wants to believe something then thats fine with me, but burning something what others feel is sacred is just wrong and likley to antagonise extremists (and many moderates)from the countries who have in recent years generated many of the suicide bombers/terrorists. Burning flags etc is also wrong. 2 wrongs dont make a right.
RedM
Oh I love a good flag burning me. BTW I'll be burning a copy of the Bible on Friday for balance. As a warm-up I'll also be setting fire to the Tony Blair book, a copy of Fahrenheit 451 and Miffy Goes On Holiday.
Tyson
Hopefully they'll put themselves up in smoke when the do it. It still amazes me how people seem to think all muslims are terrorists... but I guess you can't expect much from these groups that probably have a two-digit collective IQ. and they are all related .... I hear inbreeding is all the rage over there

Kirk
A step to far that! But that's America for you! A step to far would be trying to build a fucking mosque at ground zero but wait there doing it! Now usualy i dont get involved in threads like this due to my views of some ethic cultures but honestly how the fuck can they allow such a thing to be built in that location of all places. I suppose we shouldnt allow German Cars on our roads because they bombed some of them in the war either ? Yes it may be seen as inappropriate, its never going to be good timing as somthing as large as 9/11 never goes away, but there are good muslims in america who need somwhere to pray. It's not actually near ground zero at all. It's a few blocks away and is actually a community centre with baskeball courts, gym etc. Only the top floor is going to be a prayer room. It doesn't even look like a mosque. I'll try and find a YouTube video on it which goes into more detail. Needless to say, its media hype just like the story in this thread. Why do they need to pray right on the site of one of the worst terrorist attrocities the world has ever seen. What's next Mercedes moving it's headquarters to Poland?? I don't like threads like this but I am with Martin on this one. It's an insult to all the people who died. This is a victory for all Muslims, even the terrorists amongst them..!! Cause the Americans were the ones that flew those planes into 9/11 and invaded two countries at the back of that murdering 100s of thousands of people........ Fairly straight forward wouldn't you say.
Septic
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=l6OI6Z48VUE I think this is the video. I'm on my HTC and no WiFi at the moment so takes ages to load the video. Anyways, there is no ground zero mosque. It's media hyperbole. Don't swallow it all wholeheartedly. There is a mosque actually round the corner of the world trade centre which has been there before even the twin towers were built, strangely nothing has happened. The media has got it that it is the "Muslims" who have done this, they have no evidence & no answers either. No need to get anymore angry, just like the pastor I assume they ill informed, or dumb. neo2810
If this does happen, he will cause another war. I doubt it. It's just a little book burning. Supra-Brett
Inappropriate..!! That should never happen in my book. H. Which book is that ? Watch out, someone might burn it On a serious note, not everyone is bad. Saying that everyone of a certain faith, background or colour is the same is just wrong, so why should an atrocity effect all decisions associated with that faith group (in the case of 9/11) after the atrocity. Its like saying that all the english are bad, just because a load of people are lazy sods, claiming incapacity benefit without good reason, when they are perfectly able to go down the shop and carry a crate of special brew home with them. Its like saying that all the irish are bad, because a small minority chose to plant bombs. Its like saying all thee germans are bad, because of hitler. etc etc etc. We cannot let the actions of a few effect the decisions of the many. kill1308
We cannot let the actions of a few effect the decisions of the many Precisely, if we do then the religious extremists/terrorists have won the first part of their battle, inspiring hatred between races/religions. Septic
Man we Muslims are always in the firing line, literally and figuratively. Regardless of who you believe was responsible for 9/11, Muslims have suffered more than anyone as a result. There's so much propaganda, hatred and intolerence; its like we're back in 1942, we're the Jews and the West is turning into Germany. I can't even enjoy EID celebrations because I know that the Eid celebration in Pakistan is actually on September 11th and the media (especially The Sun, Daily Mail) are going to have a field day by coming up with some B.S story or focusing on some complete utter prat of a Muslim who is seen to glorify the 9/11 attacks. Sigh...
