Branners
I burnt some toast this morning. I'm just warming-up for the main event. I worship toast, I believe the all seeing toast created the universe and everything in it. So I feel outrage at your abuse of my toasty beliefs. Replace TOAST with your choice of omnipotent deity as required.
RCK10
There was a foreign fighter jet buzzed over the top of my house last night (white/blue star on the tail). Looked like it was fully loaded as well. Quite an unusuall site up here and even stranger timing lol. Don't suppose you spied it as well geo? The noise off it was superb! Chris Wilson
The strengths needed from a leader of a tribal country with warring factions is very different from those needed from a leader of a developed country with a mainly uniform population. Sadly tribalism is rarely ruled successfully without a rod of iron and bias to certain tribes. Hence Saddam kept a warring nation relatively in check and one could go on holiday there with little fear. Dictators can be, and often are corrupt, but so can the leaders and their minions be corrupt in more settled countries. The countries where western interference in the name of settling leadership bias has occurred, at least in recent times before the end of the true commonwealth, have sadly shown that the pre-existing rod of iron is often the best way to keep bloodshed relatively low and to maintain a reasonable standard of living for the majority. Iraq, now in the throws of being handed back to its indigenous population, is not exactly left in a state where one might be proud to "hand over the keys", is it? In fact it's less stable than it was, shattered and perilously close to anarchy.

Tony
True, it looks as though there are UK Muslims burning it. I am not against Islam but they don't often help themselves... I dont think we would get away with that in there country. I dont care where you come from or what you believe in, just show some respect for our country and our Troop's. Would just add even if i didnt believe in our Troop's being the world's police (not saying i do) there our brother's & sister's etc, so that's who i support
Supra-Brett
Im not racist far from it (see earlier posts), but i am "stupidist". What those people are doing burning flags is just stupid. Moaning about burning their sacred book (which hasnt been burnt yet), so we will burn the flag in a pre-emptive type strike. Just as stupid as the bloke who said he is going to burn the Qu`arn. I cant believe there are so many stupid people about
