Cerikbok
Today I started hearing a clicking noise from behind my passenger side fan vent and it speeds up when I turn the fan speed up. Do I have to rip the dash apart to get back there and fix it? or is it accessible from the engine bay? Or is it a bigger problem than just a ventilation fan? Cerikbok
Bump, anyone? Maybe its just a bearing?
GreaseMonkey
Just a thought, but it could be a Leaf or similar debris caught in Fan blades causing the noise. From memory, To drop the heater Fan motor (Blower Motor) down is just three screws which can be accessed from the Passenger Footwell. Heres a link to the Toyota Chassis body manual, go to page 24 in the link which shows an exploded technical drawing of the blower assembly. http://www.turbosupras.com/pdfs/JZA80%20TSRM/AC.pdf
