Kopite
Pete - if it's been a while, i'd deffo get an optician to see you. Did the GP look at your eye at all? Sorry to jump in ..but I have something I wonder if you could help with . For a long long time now I see shadows like black dots. For example if I stare at a white wall I can see a tiny black dot ..it doesnt normaly show up in everyday life just now and then and I was told it was excess protein in the eye fuid ???? dont know ..is it anything to worry about?. Just curious more than anything. Mig - think you'll be needin a guide dog mate yeah they sound like floaters - bits of your vitreous jelly that have broken off. keep an eye on them (pun intended ) , they're perfectly normal. if you get million and million and millions goin across your eye like someone's drawin a curtain, then get in your supra and bomb to the hospital asap! i've got loads of floaters too, you can get them from just sneezin
Miguel
Mig, Pete Don't bother asking Ro about technical eye stuff. Remember, he works at SpecSavers - the KwikFit of the optometry world. LMFAO ...tis ok ..I now have floaters in my eyes ..at least thats the opposite to the sinkers in the toilet so a good balance me thinks. At least I know I wont go blind anytime soon . Kopite
it doesn't really make much differance mate. i'd go to one of the big places - Speccies, Boots etc. Depends on the individual places etc. they'll all know what they're doin, whether they'll give good service or keep you waiting ages i dunno think it's worth doin anyway

Nic
I had a bad eye infection a year ago, had a white blister on my cornea and it hurt like a b*st*rd. The hospital gave me some great anesthetic drops that took the pain away and dialated my pupils. Then the eye doctor wanted to take a sample of the infection so got a scalpel out and had to scrap my eye with the scalpel, I've never been so scared and so still at the same time in my life
