sell NA for another NA ?

For me there is no point in having a car that is potentially going to cost me a hell of alot more to fix if it goes wrong, not everyone owns their own company or earns a million quid a day.

So far there have been very few times where i have needed a faster car, the NA just ticks all the boxes for me, despite what the TT boys say they are not that bad.

Price is another factor, decent TT manual would be around 10k+ were as the NA is around 3-4k and there is no way i would drive an auto, regardless of how good they apparently are.

As previously stated i have nothing against them, love reading about them and looking at the builds etc but they just arn't for me.

I seriously think if the TT transplant wasn't as easy and cheap to do and NA modification wern't as uncommon then when someone says they are going to spend money on the NA they wouldn't get shot down in flames. I admire what some of the guys are trying to do with the NA just to get the little gains, any improvement is a bonus in my eyes.

One of the other reasons i will not own a TT supra is some of the arsehole owners on this very forum, its the supra owners club, not the TT or single supra owners club, i know there's alot of banter but some of them treat NA owners like shite, just glad i found the ignore button after all this time :)

In short -

NA = Win

TT = Win, just not for me though.

Sorry for the long winded and very off topic reply.

Lemsip Neil??

For the most part I agree with the above. When I got my NA I couldn't probably afford a TT and run it, plus I didn't really know how long I would want to part of the club. I have had the Supra ownership experience at very little cost in reality and most people I speak to don't really give a monkeys what engine is in it, they just think it looks cool.

I must say I have never really felt belittled by any other member for having an NA and always took it as banter as opposed to a serious opinion. If it was serious, they would have been quickly told to fook off.

I have now gone TT and an auto at that particularly after driving Mrs H's Audi tiptronic and what fun that has been with 220 Hp.

We looked at a few cars as an NA replacement and very few came up to our expectations for the money.

At the end of the day, the club was a massive reason to stay whether you have an NA, TT or single, who really gives a shit.

See for the most part i know 99% are having a giggle, i even take the p*ss sometimes, but there are 1 or 2 members that have made it clear that its not really banter hence the use of the ignore button :D

I also have never personally met anyone who has bad word to say about the NA, even the fellow TT owners, i suppose it goes back to the whole thing of it not being a 'proper' supra, bit like the skyline boys with the GTR-GTST thing.

Agreed the sound of the TT or especially single tubby is something else, but there is not a chance on earth i'm spending 10k+ just for the sound.

As said i have nothing against the turbo guys doing their thing, everytime i come on here i have a check to see if Jamie or Hodge have any updates on their cars as they are my 2 favourites.

I find my NA does everything i need and it does it well, as a bonus it even looks like one of them 'real' supras :p

Right i'm shutting up now :innocent:
