S-AFC setting for Pressure type and value?

Recommended Posts

Hey, anyone running the S-AFC and could help me with one of the settings?

Its under menu: Main--- ETC. --- Sensor Type --- PRESSURE

Whats the value we are to type in under pressure sensor type?

It comes from factory with a value of in 01 in out 01?:)

Just one more thing what TH points have you guys set? MKIV.com instructions ask that you set lo at 94 and hi 95?

Relax already.

You need the instruction manual, it comes with a huge set of charts at the back which give you the sensor type and the value to enter. Strangely, I can't recall what the Supra needs to be set to off the top of my head.

A Lo throttle position of 94 sounds crazy. I set mine by noting what throttle position I use for general cruising and gentle acceleration (around 12%-20% so I set 19%), and hard acceleration (I think I chose 50%).

Another really good bit to read in the instructions is the multiple warnings about how you can cause serious engine damage by changing these settings, and you should let an experienced tuner actually change the Ne-point values. Mine was done by Chris Wilson :) I get the feeling you are going to set it up yourself, tell me I'm wrong...

Thanks for your input guys! I receive the instructions in Japanese as I buy from Japan as always. Just one thing to remember that the instructions on the U.S site refers to vehicles with AIR FLOW METER not vehicles with PRESSURE SENSOR!!

Ian, I would appreciate it if you could scan the chart you have and attach it under this post! Mine is in japanese.

Thanks,

randy

Scanning in the chart would be a tad impractical as it's several pages long and you want just one entry out of it :) I'll look it up and let you know. I'll also verify it against the setting I currently have.

There is a PDF file you can download which has the chart in anyway, it's where I got all my info from - have a rummage on that website listed above.

Reassure me that it's being set up with a wide-band O2 sensor letting you know the AFR? :)

I went to that link Nic provided, and downloaded the pdf that's clearly labelled on the left, and oh look, it's the full instructions in English, 50 pages of 'em, along with the tables of pressure sensor types.

I've got it open in front of me and you need...

...to look it up for yourself. Ahhh hahahahahaha!

Get surfing, biatch :)

Yeah I got what is there Ian! I just wanted a confirmation from you as to what your settings are? As the instructions are different for U.S and Jap spec!! No worries, I got the info confirmed by some other guys.

Regarding the Air fuel set up all Im doing for now is increasing the fuel flow at 3500 RPM and UP to run a little richer than before to be on the safe side. Also not touching the lo throttle settings only using the high throttle to increase fuel flow. I will be buying a FJO wide band sometime soon. Unfortunately no one has one here. Also I have found the car pulling a lot harder and building boost a lot sooner after the increase in the fuel curve.:)
