robin
Are you getting any error codes?
dude
Try putting a 12v feed to the fuel pump, it may be losing its feed as the car starts, ie there is enough to prime the system but not to run it.
Konrad
Clean Idle control valve and check fuel filter.
Shane
Mine did exactly this and if I gave the fuel pump constant feed it as Dude has said it ran ok. Also with mine the engine management light didnt come on. After ripping the car to bits as I suspected the imobilliser, it turned out that a loose battery connection had killed my ECU. Swampy442
As above, fuel pump ECU on its way out
Nodalmighty
As above, fuel pump ECU on its way out Ed Morris should have a spare one of these
Guest supersupra93
i am not getting any error codes...and not to seems slow but how would i go about putting a 12v feed to the fuel pump? and i did have a lose negative terminal at one time but i replaced it i dont think my ecu is gone because the problem is not consistent because i was able to start and run it yesterday but i wasnt brave enough to drive it(was scared i might get stranded somewhere lol) but am i wrong? is there a possiability that it is my ecu? Shane
+B to FP connections of the diagnostic port on the engine (i.e. voltage fed to the pump all the time the ignition is on).
Guest supersupra93
ok my car was running and driving fine earlier today then i turned the car off to do some stuff and it started stalling when i started it....so i did the 12v thing and started it right up and it ran perfect...does this mean something is wrong with my fuel pump or ecu? Almost certainly the ECU I would say. Someone will verify this I am sure, but on a NA, i think the pump relay is fed from the main ecu and I would say that the next thing you need to do is beg steal or borrow a known good ECU to try. Cant recall if the NA has a seperate fuel pump ECU or not, dont think so. Ian C, Dude, CW would all know for sure. Sounds horribly like mine though. Loose batt connection leading to damaged ecu. Its not the fuel pump though, you have just proven that by hard wiring it.
