Bolt fell off while changing gear?

Help needed on this one guys.

 

Was pulling out of Tesco's on Ecclesall road and was driving steadily, change into second and I hear a weird noise from the clutch pedal or just above it, then as my foot comes off the clutch a bold falls onto my left foot.

 

I was only 30 seconds from home so pulled up and looked at the bolt. No idea what it is and because I was in such an unbelievable rush I havn't had time to look near the pedals to see whats going on.

 

Anyone know what this bolt is for???

Have a look at your intake pipework. It certainly looks like a hose clip bolt/screw. I could be wrong

Bearing in mind i'm not mechanically trained what so ever, where abouts would I look on the intake pipework and what exactly am I looking for (apart from a missing bolt obviously) lol

Intake pipes at a guess... that is a large pipe clip. It would be just as it goes from the black plastic pipe to the solid throttle body.

Have a look at the clip that holds the pipe onto the throttle body in this pic

yeah 100% looks like a intake clip mate its come off the two rings

Have a look at the clip that holds the pipe onto the throttle body in this pic

I was thinking the same thing. Somehow, unless it can magically transfer itself through the bulkhead, I don't think it's from the intake:d

Maybe off the boot round the steering column? It's the same bolt you get on the intake pipework clamps on a tt

Aint something to do with the clutch pedal adjusters is it? Would make sense as it dropped when you pressed the clutch.

Soz i meant to say check if its same kind of bolt as you get on the intake pipes (non pressure ones)

The boot is on the bulkhead. Follow the steering column down to near the pedals.

MUCH closer to the passenger side of the middle, and they are around 1inch and don't need a clip that sort of side.

Yeah considering that it fell on my feet that would make sense that it came from there. Will have a look tonight!
