Chris Wilson
OK, not artistic photos, but some good technical pics from angles some folk might appreciate as unusual. Fabulous Donington revival meeting, supperb racing, and recession? WHAT recession? Serious money, serious cars and some very thrustful competition. Note the Auto Union and Osca from the Donington collection, and the glut of historic F1 and historic Group A saloons, especially the gorgeous "Batmobile" BMW CSL's. Misfire? OK let's pull the head and sort it for tomorrow. 3 litre DFV not enough? Let's stick and all ali 8.4 litre Can-Am big block in a 1975 March and have 800 ft lbs plus torque. Photos are unsorted, but some nice techy stuff for those who like that sort of thing... http://www.newbury-house.com/masters/masters.html

Branners
How is Donington as a track now? Have any of the changes managed to ruin it or is it still a great track?
Chris Wilson
It's exactly as it was, the surface is still very very good (it was totally relaid in about 2004 I think) and the recent repairs are unnoticeable. The only change is the moving of the chicane back from the start of the pit straight by about 50 yards, shortening the Wheatcroft straight and lengthening the pit straight. As far as I can tell it hasn't affected lap times much if at all. The facilities are looking tired and in need of some refurbishment, but it's early days. The infield was out of bounds to spectators, as it's still a bit of a quagmire in parts, but again, nothing that time and some money won't sort out. My wife's just sold them a state of the art defibrillator, so if you feel like you are having a heart attack head over to Donington
Branners
I have always enjoyed that track. I may see how much it would cost to hire it for our 10th anniversary next year and have a proper big meet with camping, track and all sorts. Time to contact the organisers I think and see if that is possible.

Chris Wilson
I wish I had known you were there, would have liked to say hello. I DID look for Alfa as in maybe your sister's car. It was a great meeting though, both in terms of racing and to see the old place back in international action.

It was a great meeting though, both in terms of racing and to see the old place back in international action. I only went as a last minute thing, my sisters Alfa wasn't quite finished so that didn't make it. I'll post up when its going to make its debut on track
