I've not seen any reviews on the "Dr Dre" ones, but I would bet you're paying for the name association and the phones themselves really aren't that good. Shure or Etymotics make some really good audiophile stuff, but you'll pay for it. Ultimate Ears are also pretty decent, but the latest models since Logitech bought them out are not so great, they've gone back to concentrating on the lower end of the market again.
