Paul372
Hi, right i'm getting really confussed here. I've been calling up diffrent car valeting companys about getting the engine clean and most of them use the pressure washers but what is the safer option i'm getting mix messages. I had an oil leak on the supe so really need to get it cleaned up now its fix. I know to keep the gap between the cam covers dry but what best for the supe pressure or steam, and can anybody recommend someone thanks guys
Havard
Everyone will have different opinions but personally I wouldn't use either, take your time and do it by hand with a brush and some rags..... H.
Paul372
also i'll like to know if it is best to have the engine running or turnt off while having it steam cleaned or pressure washed

Graham S
There is a woman who works next to us.. Her other half has a steam cleaner but its a dry steam cleaner. Does the same job as the normal water flowing everywhere type thing but doesn't cover the engine etc in water... Works really well too.. Thats an option. SUPRALOOPY
Electrics and water don't mix. even more so when pressurised into places its not meant to go.

clapyohandz
I usually used some engine bay cleaning spray that you let it sit for like 5 min. Then you can use a brush on the tough spots. Next step is with just a garden hose to wash everything off. Be sure to let it dry completely before cranking it up.
