nevins
Well what can be said about this but epic fail. They seize a evo of a drunk driver, but instead of waiting for a recovery truck they drive of it it and crash into someone's garden. Like hell was this done at 30mph lol. http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/news/s/1315935_police_officers_seize_highpowered_sports_car__then_crash_it_into_garden_wall
nevins
Make sure to check out the gallery of the car at the right of main pic, suggest that it was slightly more than 30 mph.
Fitz
So in this instance, do the Police have to pay him remunerations so to speak for the car as they crashed it? Imagine if that was your Supra and you found out this happened
Gaz6002
Sounds like a lawsuit and a half to me!
Rob
Probably diesel, or slippery white lines, or black ice, or some plasterboard fixings.
Abz
"Local residents called police after hearing the car crash..." while they saw 2 officers clamber out! They didn't even make it to the end of the road before trashing it!
James
I couldn't fathom the position I'd be in (mentally) if this happened with my Supra! :|

Imagine if that was your Supra and you found out this happened I'd imagine so. Just because you may be found guilty of one offence doesn't mean you lose all rights to your property, unless there is some disclaimer in the whole arrest and seizure process. Even so, that would be for car-park dings, not an overly keen policeman binning your car in someone elses garden.
nevins
Were they even supposed to be driving it if a recovery truck was called to take it away after the owner was arrested. Also I hope he has the mods declared as they will do every thing to get out of this.
tbourner
The 270bhp Evo VIII can do 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and is electronically limited to 156mph. But what about THAT Evo!

It won't matter to the owner anyway, drink driver so he's a knob anyway

No excuse though, it does look like it was doing slightly over 30mph They are allowed to drive your car, but normally the cars get recovered straight to the compound. Scott
Mod declaration doesn't make a difference, fortunately
nevins
At least the owner will not be able to risk any ones safety now. A 23 year old drunk driver in an evo what could be worst.
Rob
They are allowed to drive your car, but normally the cars get recovered straight to the compound. Given that they couldn't even make it out of the same street without wiping out, its hard to tell if they were planning on a little joyride. AndrewOW
I bet once the owner sobers up, which would've happened almost instantly he heard about the smash, he would've been gutted by that! A bit like the officers nearly were!

supra steveo
lol try explaining that to the gov, but it was crashed while they waited tho ??? does that not mean they need to be stationary to wait ?? why the hell did they move it i bet the owner has a nice white jacket that does up from the back to keep the coppers safe lol
