Hi all,

this is my first post.

im currently in process of purchasing a 95 supra which started life as a NA 5speed - it was modified by adding boostlogic turbo kit/FMIC/HKS exhaust/manifold/upgraded ECU/upgraded clutch

if i purchase it i would like to upgrade internals.

just need some advice:

1 - upgrading pistons (what size are STD pistons) what size/make would people suggest?

2 - going to upgrade headgasket (what one)?

3 - want to upgrade injectors (which ones)?

sorry for the 'newbie' post by i have a passion for these cars and joined supra club to boost my knowledge of performance mods and to ask you guys what would be the best + safest route to take for good performance but not pushing my engine to the edge.

Cheers All

I would think very hard before buying an NA-T Supra, if it's been done by a specialist and had a load of money spent on doing a proper conversion then fine, but if not you could be buying a huge money pit if it needs sorting. Do you know who did the conversion, who mapped it, what the full spec is and what boost it has been running?

What is the reason for the rebuild, are there problems with the engine or are you just wanting to increase power?

2JZ-GTE

Bore x Stroke (mm) 86mm x 86mm

Capacity (cc) 2997

Compression Ratio 8.5:1

2JZ-GE

Bore x Stroke (mm) 86mm x 86mm

Capacity (cc) 2997

Compression Ratio 10:1

1. Why do you want new pistons, to lower the compression ratio? You could fit stock 2JZ-GTE pistons, I'm not sure how much it will reduce the CR with the GE head. If you are wanting forged 2JZ-GTE pistons HKS, JUN, GReddy, Cosworth, as well as many others sell them.

2. The stock metal head gasket should okay, not sure if anyone does an aftermarket 2JZ-GE one.

ps. Welcome to the club.
