optim8
I'm just back from a mamouth run from Bristol to trackdays at Croft then Knockhill and all the way back down through North Wales. The Supra didn't miss a beat the whole route! Now there can't be many 16 year old cars out there that could acheive this!! Hats off to Toyota for making a bloody fantastic motor. Only thing I think I need to do is change my stock suspension as it was pretty boaty on the bends!! Croft was an excellent with an interesting mix of straights and twistys. Knockhill was something else, absolutely crazy with all it's rises and dips, you seriously need some nerve to get around it, specially the right hand dropoff at the end of the start/end straight!!![sHOCK][/sHOCK] We also drove some fantastic roads on the way up and back. If anyone is interested this is the route we took. Highly recomended. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=BS1+1AA&daddr=YO22+5EN+to:TS18+3RT+to:DL2+2PL+to:NE66+4HU+to:EH21+8PT+to:KY12+9TF+to:LA4+4DL+to:LL20+8DP+to:LL21+9HW+to:LL41+4RB+to:SY20+8BQ+to:SY18+6HN+to:SY25+6JL+to:LD5+4UU+to:CF48+2HW+to:NP7+0BU+to:NP15+1RY+to:NP16+6BU+to:BS1+1AA&hl=en&geocode=FX8jEQMdq1jY_yltqTE2tI1xSDECV3R5af55XA%3BFfbPPgMdUNj1_ykjx9bSbhh_SDGGeRTCd7OLfw%3BFTdMQAMd66jr_ykxIFXapZN-SDG--meYMRf2yw%3BFZ70PgMdKVno_ymdGbBQ5Zh-SDFYcDU7qR21iA%3BFVoITgMdduXi_ykhk6vW6Ph9SDHCOGyhbWwDVQ%3BFZxjVQMd-6PR_ymFjgpGwbuHSDGHj30imtfSJw%3BFT9_WAMdAnXK_ylLNVP9F9OHSDGBiYQJTMIHCA%3BFY0AOQMdGxrU_ymrIVEuFJ58SDE27CksmI6AaQ%3BFTvnKAMdD_nO_ymRqkjBfMp6SDFstlIuqIxraA%3BFZRKKAMd74jO_ymFsukHPbV6SDE-7xwuwXxykw%3BFSHNJwMdgc3D_ylDDuUc_3JlSDFkhZ3QXSCx3w%3BFWqAIgMd7y_F_ynDsFgGLIZvSDGAC_n-39DS0Q%3BFT9YIAMdf_rJ_ylVwbJEx-1vSDHsKXAachdOZA%3BFQ_PHAMdu_vD_yk7gHjDMKFvSDF3f5UW4D9dbA%3BFWG7GwMd02bJ_yljabXE98dvSDEITDwtjN-1Iw%3BFerdFQMdVvrL_yn738sSNDpuSDGpgyw0kqUNeA%3BFTbAFgMdorXQ_yk1hPbckddxSDHunvo2VUWkuw%3BFdnwFAMdDLHT_ykjtAdGOsNxSDFMTwmyTZGwvQ%3BFcwNFAMdS__V_ymJSzCdhOpxSDF_HC77Ed_2NA%3BFX8jEQMdq1jY_yltqTE2tI1xSDECV3R5af55XA&mra=ls&sll=53.87844,-1.636963&sspn=2.648868,6.987305&ie=UTF8&z=

optim8
Hey Geo, you'll absolutely love it mate, and cause it's so high up the views of the landscape around are spot on. I booked both days through Bookatrack.com and they really set the events up well, both open pit lane and numbers meant you could pretty much drive straight on when ever you wanted... I'll post a couple of pics up in the next couple of days. j_jza80
Only thing I think I need to do is change my stock suspension as it was pretty boaty Sounds like you've had a good time These cars are a little cumbersome as standard, but they can be made to handle extremely well for a big front engined GT. Our resident suspension Guru Chris Wilson is worth a shout if you want a decent setup that will be a good compromise between track and road. Bobbeh
Its always rewarding to go on a Euro trip and track day, knowing the car will get you back in one piece and without worry (a'la Le Mans, Nurburgring, Santa Pod drag days, Tack days etc) , I love the Supra
AJI
Glad to hear you had a good time. Croft is a cool little circuit with a nice mix of corners. I always find it an easy track to experiment and push the limits. I've always said the same about the Supra; when going in to Europe...not many cars for the price that can give the reliability and the performance in the same package.
