Supra Gaz
Evening all, I have had a look on google and used the old search button but not found what I am looking for. Has anyone in the uk installed independent throttle bodies to their N/A? I had a poke in a S2000 with itb's and it was awesome, the sound, the responsiveness of the throttle! So if you have please let me know, and before the turbo group come along, I'm not interested, I don't care how much things cost, I work hard for my money and will blow it anyway i like! Also, if dude reads this, I may want to do this instead of the ls1 Rx7 mate....

Supra Gaz
Nic, that's what I'm talking about! I saw those pics in a thread on my searches. Has anyone over here tried it? I understand their will need to be supporting mods, what would that entail?

The 2 cars in the pics were custom made by a Japanese company, they don't sell the parts.

Kirk
I personaly love ITBs and have looked into conversions for a while now, infact i have two sets of TBs here, one set from an e36 m3 and another set from a RB26. To be honest though they wont net you much in terms of power. You will get the response and the noise but thats about it but it has been done before. A conversion, depending on TBs used, can be rather expensive with all the custom work required plus the need of a standalone ecu or a very good piggy back unit and mapping, custom intake if you go that far. It wont be cheap but nothing never is Edited September 2, 2010 by Kirk (see edit history)
Supra Gaz
Thanks or the link, I will drop him a message. It is going to be expensive, but it will be cool, and that's the point in a supra isn't it! I will update when he replies to me
Kirk
Dude dont expect a great deal of info off him. FSR did all the work and tbh he isnt much of a techy, ive spoke to him before. Now you have mentioned this its made me want to do it again but i cant justify the cost now im heading back to uni
Supra Gaz
I see, I was hoping he would know his stuff. I may nag dude about this when I pop down to the new garage.... Someone must be able to do it?
Kirk
No doubt but it wont be cheap. You may want to look at paul mac's thread. Gives you a basic idea of what needs to be done http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=176778&highlight=throttle+bodies
