the way i see it is, the americans really push their turbos to the limits to get there desired target HP..(then IMO this reduces turbo life)

 

you might just have to aim a bit less boost mate to get more life of the turbo..

 

 

Think your right.. I would say 90 per cent of the time I wont be running full boost to be honest.... just for play time.. and lets face it with winter coming up there wont be much of that.....

These things happen when you push a lot of power, get prepared for it;)

 

Been a bit smokey for while, might not be the turbo, will know more when Lee pulls the engine.

 

I already am mate,been through gearboxs and turbos in my old impreza.

 

That's motorsport for you I suppose ;)

Really sorry to hear this Jamie; I was expecting a good result for you this year. As you mention, it's to be expected when you're pushing things. So keep positive and look at it as a perfect opportunity to find the weak point and make it stronger.

 

 

P.S. Don't let John watch next time. You do know he stands on the side chanting for the carnage gremlin to strike:p
