Guest MeisterR
Is there a difference between the Auto TT Diff casing between the UK Spec and the Japanese Spec? I am looking at a Torsen Diff, and was told that it have a larger "B" casing. However, I was told that it was from a UK Auto and the casing looks just like an "A" Casing. So now I am confused as I thought only the 6-Speeds came with "B" Casing. If anyone can point me to the right direction, it would be easier. I am actually looking to put a Torsen Diff in my SC430, and as far as I know it use the same "A" Spec diff as the Auto TT Supra.
Rich8v
This is the diff in question. From what I've read on this forum, there are no differences of the LSD between the european and j spec diffs. However I belive the casings are different. Now going by the pics in this thread, its the larger casing. Diff thread link Also have a read through all of this thread. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=198007&highlight=diff We both need a second opinion on this from someone that knows for sure. I was only aware that UK autos had larger diff casing after removing it and having it sat next to my 6 speed diff.
Nic
I think yours is the larger B diff. I believe all UK Supras were fitted with the larger diff and added cooler. Compare to pics below, left is the Larger Diff B, right is the smaller Diff A http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/2994/supravsoarerex8.jpg
