Bargain at that!!

Needs bodywork work sorting correctly, but an imported TOYOPET jdm version went for £1700 on ebay the other day and this is a uk car. Just want someone to love it and get it 100% again

Thats a very very cool car, what sort of bodywork does it need? Any welding? im guessing it runs ok?

Runs very well as all the running gear is in a1.

Timing needs to be adjusted slightly (has new rotor arm and diz cap fitted ) but i have done adjustment on the rockers less than 50 miles ago

Clutch release bearing is squeaking a little but nothing that would worry me for a good few 000k miles if at all

The underside has been welded and is very solid. What let's it down is the outside. The guy who done it had no idea how to make rear arches and has used alot of filler thats started to crack, the drivers door needs adjusting or new pins as its dropped a bit.

Over spray on window rubbers.

The underside is way cleaner than outside. The underneath of the car is the same colour as the outside.

Rust started to show at bottom of doors and some near the battery area (think its under the battery).

Drives really well and the brakes are brilliant for a drum setup.

Pulls slightly to the left since i've had it.

I fitted a re-cored rad about 50 miles ago with new toyota coolant.

Fuel gauge is quite vague.

If i think of anything else i will add it but that's about as honest i can be.

Plus i have all the paperwork and service records, and receipts from when it was new. 2 previous owners.

Spare diff casing and bits, spare steering wheels, rocker covers, about 3 carbs (not sure if they are the same as i have never taken them out of the bag to check

plus other small bits and bobs

Cost of insurance is £100 fully comp against the daily drive with limited mileage.

Yes a very good home indeedy. Went for more than advertised here too.

They guy and his son are both retro toyota nuts and he owns a bodyshop.

He showed me pics of his 2 nut and bolt almost restored ae86's, toyota 1000 and his sons mk1 starlet.

His friend also races a 1600 twin cam corona :-)
