bodilx6
I have the same thing. Once in a while it hits a limiter @ roughly 5000. Car is BPU'ed by me, but 100% stock when I got it. It does have both SLD and FCD but these are very simple parts with no intelligence or additional features...

Homer
That is not normal, you all have a problem somewhere Are these cars auto's? On 2nd thoughts, why are you trying to go above 5000rpm when the car is stationary?
CanisLupus
On 2nd thoughts, why are you trying to go above 5000rpm when the car is stationary? Had that too but only when Stationary. Anything to do with it?
shaft
mines manual, i drive mine hard, when wheel spinning the limiter can come in early, let off for a second and then back on and it usually goes back up to normal...
Homer
Which FCD have you got and where is the dial set on it? It shouldn't do this, but have a few ideas for the cause.

bodilx6
Mine is 6 spd and I have never experienced it stationary. It happens once in a while going WOT in 1st, but ONLY in 1st. Also seen it once or twice while reving in neutral, coasting through a tunnel (usually on the way into the nürburgring ;-) )
