merckx Posted June 10, 2005 Share Posted June 10, 2005 Push something in where the bulb goes and break it free, it's only held on by 1 screw.(It is orange) Then reach in with long nose pliers to breaks it into small pieces which will come out. merckx Posted June 10, 2005 Share Posted June 10, 2005 The facelift indicators also incorporate the side lights aswell, the lense is clear but there is a orange plastic piece which goes over the indicator bulb on the inside. I know this is a really old thread but I´m in the process of doing this. After I break the orange part off will it leave any orange part in the housing? I would like to completely remove the orange parts so that not even a small orange part is left inside the housing. Is this possible without opening the housing? Tried to snap it off, and the whole bit is now loose inside the indicator - however, I cant break it up easily - it's quite strong plastic. Any tips? Done the oven job now - was much easier sitting trying to break it - I tried this and just ended up scratching the reflective surfaces inside the light (luckily this cannot be seen through the clear front). Anyway - they are back together and look pretty good, apart from the fact I seem to have got the sealant stuff around the outside edge of the clear bit and it looks messy. I'm going to add some more black sealant around the outside edge soon anyway, and I've got to get some of those Philips Silvervision WY21W wedge bulbs on order from powerbulbs or similar.
