Gaz Walker
Audi S4 Cabriolet - £41,310 retail. 340hp, 6 speed, 4WD, 5.9s 0-60 = Nice At least its not common like the BMW. Dunno how much the BMW 6 series convertibles are? Get the uprated sound system, DVD sat nav, tv & teletext, heated front and rear seats, silk nappa leather, front & rear parking sensors, headlight cleaners, cruise control & cooling glove box while your there Gaz. S4 Cabrio count in the carpark here is 4, there are no M3s at all. £50k on a 4 seater tented skip is a lot of cash to blow, can't he just take a more sensible approach and spend £40k on something interesting and £10k on a used 4 seater cabrio for those rare sunny days? What are we working towards here? Is he a car enthusiast (I'm guessing not given the brief)? Is performance important or it purely an image thing? Do the rear seats need to be useful or just there for use once in a while? Is the need for it to be new based on it being a company vehicle / hire purchase or just a crazy personal thing where he enjoys pouring money away? hogmaw
One thing I insisted was NO BMW. At the moment Audi is top spot, followed by some mercedes thing. He is also considering a 1 yr old merc SL350. I am mostly trying to convince him to go 2 seater while he still has no kids etc, not to mention 'nearly new' and save £££s from a New car. Main thing is image, his company has done well and has some spare cash.

michael
How about a Jag XK? Push the boat out and go for an XKR with 400bhp and 20's - he can pretend he's 50 Cent £66k new but probably a lot less with 10 miles on the clock. http://www.jaguar.co.uk/uk/en/tools_services/download/xk_ebrochure.htm Image isn't something you get with the 4 seaters IMO, most are either subtle performance barges with no roof or luxurious yet a little bland, if image is key it has to have 2 seats and that opens things up to a whole new interesting world

Class One
THIS IS THE WRONG COUNTRY FOR A CONVERTIBLE For some bizarre stupid reason, this country sells more convertibles per capita than any other.
sideshowbob
Mmmmm, decisions decisions. With that sort of money i'd go for a r34gtr v-spec in bayside blue, not new, not a conv...but who cares! Or maybe one of those Holden/Vauxhall Monaros, they look quite good, just dont meet his criteria!
