Rob
I saw a documentary once, on that there telly, about the inner line of defences in the UK should the Nazis have invaded. It ran all the way round the south face of teh North Downs escarpment and right up the country as far as Darlington. I once found one pillbox on the North Downs round Leith Hill way and thought at the time it was an odd place to have one, in the trees some 30-40 miles inland, but now I see the thinking behind it. I think its on the hill above Gomshall, but its one of many across there. It also said that the pillboxs on airfields faced inwards, not outwards for defence, but to create a killing zone on the landing field should paratroopers use the airfields. I never bought the whole Red Barn thing though.
nevins
I think I am still on there, I had a few things to say about a certain member who smashed up the insides of an old church, and they didn't like me saying it lol.

From what i've read, most of the members seem pretty good and strongly against anti-social behaviour. I once saw a thread when a young guy started tagging the walls and they really slatted him, and rightly so.
nevins
Most are but you get the odd few on there that are like it. Other than that a great site. We need to organise a trip for something along these lines I think.

I live 10minutes away from Box, Under there is over 100miles of underground quarry, the military bought out a massive portion if not all of it for other purposes than to quarry. google it up, its very interesting, i used to be able to get into the military complex via a single access point. It was district 19 and 20 of CAD (corsham ammo dump). Its a phoenominal place that takes hours upon hours of torchlight exploration with some breathtaking POI. shame its closed now, would make the msot amazing place for paintball.. il find a link... ... http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/tna/+/http://mod.uk/dcsa/corsham_tunnels_history.htm This si a good site with some pics

You could tie rope to the bridge and sorta climb into it, my main problem would be if someone noticed the rope and removed it. I think a supra/Urban explorer meet should be sorted out where ever the countrys best bunkers/catacombs is.
