hi everyone, my supra is 13 yrs old and covered 40k miles, so i thought i should change the g.box and axle oil, engine oil has been changed every 10k with GM. part synth.

opie oils site stated for the supra SZ. W58. 5 speed box, you need 2 lit. of motul ATF fully synth. this conflicted with the info from members of this club, who reccomended 2.8 lit. of 75W-90 motul 300 gear oil.

opie now tell me the site info was incorrect and they will change this. apparently the ATF fully synth was for the 6 speed tt box. they are changing the oil they sent me and they have been very helpfull.

one thing i do think is that the oil toyota put in my car 13 yrs back and 40k miles must be good stuff, it is still doing the job. you tend to think that oil tech. has made progress and the development in fully synthetic oils can work wonders, but have we really made that much progress ? herbiemercman.
